Student Outreach
Our students are involved
The students at the college of textiles care about the world around them. They are involved in various service projects, humanitarian missions, and volunteer work. They do this as individuals and groups. Service projects that students have conducted recently have been Samaritan's Purse, Tsunami Relief, Service Raleigh, Habitat for Humanity, and numerous others.
Students help with Adopt-A-Highway.
There are currently eleven different organizations in which textile students can get involved. Many of these organizations sponsor student activities throughout the year. These activities help students to meet other students, professors and make industry contacts.
Through all social and leadership activities, students learn about themselves, others and the world around them. These activities also provide the opportunity for excitement and fun.
Organizations specifically for Textiles students are an essential compliment to our extraordinary academic programs, and you can read more about them on our student organizations page.
